Friday 13 July | 19.00h  | Jazz Jamaica feat. Myrna Hague

City of London Festival, Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AX

0845 120 7502

Listen…Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to rock!

Highlighting two 50 year milestones, Jazz Jamaica performs live on the main stage in Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf to celebrate Jamaican independence which occurred in 1962…coincidentally, the same year as the first City of London Festival. Twice the amount of partying to do then!

Joining these phenomenal kings of skazz (ska-jazz) for this celebratory show is the eternally beautiful vocalist, Myrna Hague – an original from the famed Studio One record label, a pioneer of Lovers Rock, and now Jamaica’s First Lady Of Jazz.

Go on! You know you want to and it’s a great way to wind down for the weekend!

Breathtaking stuff. Britain has its own rival to the Buena Vista Social Club. The Guardian
